Does the engine of my 1976 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 survive the use of gasohol? On Phuket it is increasingly difficult to find 95.

Does anyone have experience with gasohol on older cars like that?

Don't use gasahol, that's the worst choice, 91 gasoline is a better choice. Use it and see if you can here it pinking, if it do

es it will eventually damage the engine, bad news.

Answers not easy, maybe you can get octane booster from such as the UK, pour in the tank.

I can't get 95 at all in Pattaya now, and used to run a beach buggy with a very souped up Beetle engine. Very fast but needed valves regrinding in every six wee

ks or so, very unreliable. I gave up and fitted a Subaru engine.

The idea of fitting a Jap engine to the Jag sounds almost criminal though.
