3com Adsl Wireless Router From Uk To Bkk

Featured Replies

I'm planning to bring my 3com adsl wireless router to BKK from the UK and wondered if anyone can tell me if it will work in Thailand or will I have to buy a new one. I've got 2 pc's with wireless 802.11g dongles and I am planning to buy a laptop with wireless too. I want to get ADSL internet access, is it the same system as the UK?

Thanks.

The ADSL system here is mostly PPPoE/PPPoA G.Dmt, which I think the UK also uses, so it should work. The power system is 220V. If you do get ADSL, don't expect any tech support for your router from the ISPs.

Hello treefrog,

No problem, it will work in a few minutes....Do not forget to bring your manual, because it needs some changes in your setup.

With kind regards,

Richard

The wireless side will be fine.

The adsl you will have to check out with your isp when you get here.
