I am going soon to Laos for a visa run. Before I took the train..But I heard about a VIP bus from Korat-Nong Khai..is supposed to be an overnight bus that gets to nong khai 5am? What terminal? 1 or 2? what time does it leave Korat?

Main Destination:

Lopburi, Saraburi, Rayong, Chantaburi, Nakhon Sawan, Surin, Buri Ram, Ubon Ratchatani, Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phitsanuloke, Chaiyaphum This terminal is old, but it is fairly big.

Many shops are around the terminal, passengers can buy goods for their journey.

Bus Terminal ‚2

Main Destination:

Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Sri Changmai, Buengkarn, Mukdarharn, Sakon Nakhon, Phanom, Ubon Ratchatani, Loei, Maha Sarakham, Roi-et, Yasothorn, Rayong In the main building, there are restaurants, convenience stores, book shops and ticket counters.

Passengers can wait for their buses in the air-conditioned room.

And there are parking lots for motorcycles.

There is a terminal for departure and arrival behind the main building.

The bus for Bangkok departures from here.

I hear that it is a very nice place to spend a day or 2.

Nice restaurants, food, beer, wine. On the edge of the Mekong.

No idea, but best you check Technoracy's posting on the subject at the "Southeast Asia" forum below. Don't want to end up in the crowbar hotel for stepping on your kanob.
