Preparation Meeting For New Year’s Celebration.

A preparation meeting to organize the details for this year’s New Year’s Eve celebrations took place on Friday afternoon at City Hall under the chairmanship of Khun Wirawat, one of the deputy mayors of Pattaya.

Two companies, the GMM Media Company and P-Nada Media Company made presentations to local government officials in a bid to win the eight million baht contract to conduct the festivities.

City hall has allocated the period from the 25th to the 31st of December as the official countdown to New Year period.

Visitors and locals can expect the usual buildup of entertainment activities to centre around the Bali-Hai port area at the southern end of Beach Road.

Government officials have gone away to decide which of the two company’s bids is going to give them and Pattaya the biggest bang for their baht.

The result should be announced some time next week.
