Internet Connection

Featured Replies

Sorry if this is unrelated to this thread but as this is the Koh Samiu forum, ....

Dec 28th to Jan 2nd I will be staying at a reasonably expensive (5500 baht/night after discount) hotel on a beach in the North of Samui that has wireless internet access.

As I have an active drilling oil and gas exploration well to follow during this period, how reliable will the connection be, will it be up and running 24 hours a day?

I moved you from where you posted and gave you your own topic.

You would have got nowhere where you were.

I wouldn't want to gamble something on having CONSTANT web access. When its there its OK but here on Samui, and I've only been here for 10 months, but if its not your internet connection its the power cutting out for hours. I don't want to sound like its never here and it happens all the time, its been about a week since I lost mine for more than a few minutes, and a decent hotel will have a generator so I'm sure you would find some if you needed to. At least we know one person is coming to Samui now. Its a start I suppose :o

If the resort is using Cyberpoint expect daily crash, buy 2 account to avoid been kicked out by the authentication system after the crash for 20-30 minutes.

If you can get also wifisamui signal buy another account there.

If heavy rain no connection usually, probably due to power cut, but it is very short....usually....
