You must do the transfer at the office to make sure the current owner is up to date on payments or the new owner is responsible. I forgot to ask about the requirements for the new owner(work permit/long term visa) if any. Just so info for anyone interested. Also, does anyone know the location of the CAT office in Phuket town?

The Cat Office in Phuket town is on Phang Nga Road just past the TOT office and on the same road as the big hotel Royal City Phuket (?) Which is also the same road as UBC...

I see that CAT has also recently set up an outlet in Central Festival, on the 2nd floor near AIS.

CAT office in Patong is on the unfinished road at the south end of town. Soi Nanai and the main Rat u tit come together at the point you go to Karon. Instead of going south toward Karon go north into a divided road for about 500 meters. The paved part of the road ends and look to the right. Big blue building, CAT office.
