OP, should the thread title be 'Non-Thai Asians?' I think it's going to be hard for you to find non-Asian Thais in Isaan....

You'll have to be a bit more specific, Isan is a big place and so is Asia. I could introduce you to a Khazakstani in Yasothon when you're looking for a Nepalise in Ubon.

There are many Vietnamese (in the Nong Khai province for instance), Chinese (just find gold shop!) too and of course, plenty of Lao people in I-San. I've even encountered a Japanese woman who was the owner of a nice resort, but she sold and is back in Japan now.
