Daily News January 9

At 4.00 am on January 6 a taxi driver said he picked Bruce Gibson , an Australian aged 50,on soi 16 Sukhumvit. He didn't mention any destination so he drove until Soi 22 where Bruce told him to park whilst he went into a 7-11.

Bruce ran out moments later, clutching 2 bottles of beer and pursued by a 7-11 employee. Whilst the taxi driver was asking the employee what had happened Bruce drove away with the taxi.

He was caught later the same day at 5.00 pm with the taxi and in an agitated and crazed state. He broke several windows of the taxi and whilst more than 10 police officers tried to calm him down all efforts failed.

Finally police subdued him with a chilli spray and were able to slap handcuffs on him.

He was remanded in custody.

He sounds like Mel's brother, he wasn't ranting racist and anti-semetic things was he?
