Tried looking at a couple other sites without any luck. Some aren't updated too often. Have you tried all the usual suspects like East Coast Choppers, Hot Rod Pattaya and PowerStation (Pattaya) ?

//edit to add: Looks like there may be a couple possibilities here as well: RideThailand - Bikes For Sale

There's a 09 Crossbones at big-cycle.com in Udon. Won't have book yet as it's got no owner. Most shops don't reg. the imported bikes until they're sold.

Crossbones

The guy at Udorn wants 1.3 million for the bike! There is one in Phuket for the same price. I almost got hold of one in Suphanburi for much less but the guy sold it the day before. In Chonburi they are selling it for 950k +90K for book/registration but it has not arrived yet....which seems like a much more reasonable price.

Street Bob Lee at Wrangler doesn't have any in the shop neither does Aed at Hot Rod. A great site is HD Playground(I highly recommend it) they had a couple....missed a few opportunities. The difference in price between what you can get in Bangkok and what people pay in Pattaya can be a few hundred thousand for the same bike(I mean exactly the same bike/registration/book)....06/07 Streetbobs should and have been at around 550-650k.....As soon as it hits Pattaya it hits 740k.....

Unfortunately none of the sites are updated as stated in a post, therefore I thought I would ask here..."in case the friend of a friend wants to sell!" Let me know, thanks....

Blues Factory(Chris?), the lowrider looks awesome mate, very clean bike and well kitted out....shouldn't be a problem to sell.

Hey pluto!.

I bought my streetbob 2007 (black denim) from the guy in Suphanburi,no problems with the guy he advertises as Chang Freeman on HD-playground.com,he's got loads of bikes, he could probably order one for you .I'd be willing to bet his prices beat everyone else in Thailand and his reputation is outstanding.I'd been researching for several years before parting with my cash!!!!!

Please note that the streetbob came out first in 2006 as a 1450cc, the 2007 is a whopping 1584cc plus they fixed any probs with they had with the 1st year model.

I absolutely love my bike, over the New Year I rode up to Udon (540 kms) two days later rode to Nongkhai and followed the mekong around to Nakhon Phanom then to Mukdahan(500kms)then the next day 790kms all the way home back to just outside bkk.

You can read about these bikes on HDForums.com in the states lots of info ,cyclespot.com/forums,and harley-davidson Forums.com

please contact me with any questions and good luck

Is he the guy that was advertising a nighttrain on mocyc for about 600k?  I would have snapped that one up if i had been in thailand at the time....if it is, the nighttrain is gone, but looked like  lot of good deals on offer last time i checked...not sure if the bikes are invoice or reg tho.

Posted

That's the problem my dad has been having, trying to buy a Sportster. Lots to look at, good prices, but few with green books. Hard to get insurance without that.

Posted

Yeah, Chang Freeman is the guy, lots of nice new bikes. How difficult would it be to get the green book with the tax invoice? I have a few bikes I am looking at without registration but tax invoice....They say about 80-90,000 baht for registration and 2-6 months wait....If it is so simple why don't they do it themselves? I have always bought my bikes with registration here....but the variety and price of the "tax invoice' bikes is quite appealing. Is it worth doing and how difficult is it for a pale face to do it. :o

There is a 2008 Night Train for on Mocyc .com for 850.000

I bought mine invoice only, he said he would have the invoices put/transferred into my name, it would take 3 weeks (actually took 2)i held onto 50,000 baht and then paid the balance when I went to pick up the paperwork

Posted

im just wary of the invoice setup as i work offshore for 6-8 weeks at a time, so am not in thailand long enough to sort stuff like that out...i would rather pay a 'bit' more for something completely legal.

Posted

Dealers don't reg. them until sold. I imagine it would tie up alot of capital. As for working offshre just arange it on your time off. Lots of offshore guys own HD's.

Hey Dynabob,

I haven't a clue. I'm still trying to get the money together for the reg n book. Then, I'll start the mods.

It runs really hot so an oil cooler's first, I wouldn't mind having the V&H shorts staggered black pipes, and an arlen ness big sucker.

I'm reading a lot about the fuel management systems, still don't know what goes best with the above....it's doin me head in!! I've read good stuff about the xied and vied on www.nightrider.com. But I have a few months before I make a final decision.

When are you trading bikes? by the way, when you test ride the bike it might have a rattle in the front end its a washer that needs replacing thats all!!!! I can look for the part no.,but I haven't bothered meself .

Best of Luck with the new bike, F.B.
