I have met a lot of vegatarians during my time in Thailand and really never give it much thought othere than the religious aspect. However, I asked a friend recently why he didn't eat meat and was shocked by hi response. No - not health related, no - not sympathy for animals: he stated quite seriously that he just hated vegatables :o

every single vegetarian has his own motivation to why become one - it's a combination of economic, humanitarian and health arguments. Anotherr one, rare, is that somebody just doesn't like meat.

comparing to indian cousine, thai one doesn't have a great deal of vegetarian dishes
