Hi everyone,

I have a very good friend that has invited me to come to visit him for an extended time in Bangkok.  I'm VERY confused with all the different kinds of VISA's & requirements and I'm hoping someone on here can help answer my questions.

I'm hoping to visit Thailand for 3-4 months.  Now I wouldn't be "working" in Thailand while I'm there...not for any company based in Thailand, but I telecommute for my work and I work from home.  I do simple web design & customer service for a very small Internet company...something I can do anywhere.  I'm hoping I can do this while in Thailand and the company I work for would continue to pay me through direct deposit in my US bank account and I would just withdraw cash out of the ATM while I'm in Thailand and pay my bills here at home online (sorry if this is too much information...I just don't want to leave anything important out!).

What I'm wondering is do I have to get a "work" VISA?  Can I just come as a tourist and do my work at my friends apartment during the day while he's at work?  Basically, I'm just surfing the Net & answering email...is this something that the Immigration officials wound need to know about?

What's the longest period of time I would be able to stay without having to jump through so many hoops?  From what I've read, I could probably stay 60 days pretty easily and maybe 90 days...but after that it would be tricky.

If anyone can help me out here I'd really appreciate it.  Thanks in advance for your help!

Joey

A good letterhead ....and a request of a Consulate in US is gonna be fine...you need a Non Immigrant B visa. The max stay is 90 days....get a multi entry and cross a border one time
