I seem to have a single spot just to the right of my chin, had it on and off for a few months now. Just came back about a week ago and its red and sore and obviously looks terrible! :o

Whats the best way to get rid of it? Apart from this my skin is fine and I always keep very clean.

So far I have just been washing my face a lot and putting Dettol on it every night along with a plaster before I go to bed.

with the humidity in the tropics bacteria and fungus breeds easily.

Might try an aniti-fungle toppical cream for a few days and see if it helps.

(it can't hurt anything)

Try something like PanOxyl acne gel on the area (or anything with Benxoyl Peroxide) also, Salicylic acid helps, so look for that in spot-fighting treatments.

I definitely recommend PanOxyl (I get monthly breakouts, and it always calms the problem down), but to keep my skin clear from blackheads and generally refreshed I make a home face mask with Asprin (Salicylic Acid). Just add mineral or drinking water to asprin and dab onto your skin after it has dissolved. Leave for around 15 mins before washing off.

If the mask is too "girly" for you, just go with the PanOxyl :o

(edit: do the mask once a week)

For a vegetable diet to be fully effective , you need to include vegetables of the full colour spectrum that is available , make them into soups , add parsley flakes to aid digestion , even half a small red pepper cut up finely , most important with all food you eat is to thoroughly chew it and eat slowly , mastication also aids digestion , do not forget to consume the water also , many of the vitamins and minerals finish up there . :o

Possibly a small flare up of seborrheic dermatitis.

Should it be this(get professionally advised first), then using some Nizoral cream will clear it up quickly , available from Boots.

Thanks for all the advice.

melanoma - just checked that on wiwkipedia, doesnt look anything like that

Seborrhoeic dermatitis - same as above

Pretty sure its a 'zit', seems to have faded quite a bit now, but can still see a dark spot underneath the surface so Im sure it will return, cant they fix things like this at one of these dermatology places with lasers or something? Can anyone recommend a place? Whats the cost?

If not what can I do myself?

Edit: I am late 20's and never had skin problems before, skin is fine apart from this....

Might be a sebaceous cyst or something which could recur until excised.

A dermatologist can most likely fix you up, I'm sure someone can refer you to a good one in Bangkok.

Good luck!

Hello,

For Seborrhoeic dermatitis, ringworm, fungal and bacterial skin ailments you can try ozone oil if you don't want to take toxic drugs. There is a 100 year history of ozone remedies in Germany and 30-40 year medical usage in other countries. You can read about ozone oil on the internet. Here are some links.

If you want to purchase a jar of ozonated olive oil you can have it shipped in from a manufacturer in USA, Europe or locally in Thailand.

Cold-sores spots are related to stress, drug stores sell a cream (aciclovir) for 80 Baht.

The dark something under the skin, sounds like a blocked hair follicle.

Some may choose to use creams and beauty shops to do a deep pore cleanse. The 2,000 Baht solution.

Squeeze it and dig out any stray hair with tweezers - then use a anti-batcerial soap for a few weeks as the skin repairs. 100 Baht solution.

No one can advise treatment without an idea of what the problem is, and it would take a psychic to know that without having even seen the thing.

Best bet for getting correct treatment is to consult a dermatologist who, in addition obviously to being a specialist in the field, would be able to directly examine the lesion.

Lacking that, if you want suggestions from us non-dermatologists, at least post a clear photo! :o

Eek, I was wondering do you know where PanOxyl is sold in BKK? I have been having pretty bad breakouts here in Thailand and I'm looking for something else to try, one of my friends also reccomends this product. Thank you for your time. ^^

Try this,

DERMAHUE CREAM ,

it`s for dermatitis, but works great on my face to keep at bay and heal outbreaks..in a blue tube small/large and at any chemist here and cheap, around 90baht for the large one if i remember correctly...

Oh, and if you feel you may be getting a (blind) spot comming, try the insect bite cream, SAM BUK (speek this to a thai in english and they will know what you mean) small round green and white tin, get it at most 7-11 stores around 40baht......good luck
