Looking For A...

Arriving into Bangkok for a few days in early April and was thinking of hiring a taxi for a day or 2 to look around. :D

Any ideas on the best way to arrange one and what price to expect to pay??

I know that there are some personal tour guides available but I may have left it too late to try and book them... :D

Any tips greatly appreciated :o

7 seater for a day 2k + petrol.

you can negotiate down with the taxi driver if he is the owner of the taxi (most of the taxis are rented from the company on daily basis).

I know a good van driver with a basic english, who was helping some of my guests and there were happy with his service, he is in west bangkok

Forget renting a taxi to look around Bangkok, unless you want to see traffic jams.

Use the skytrain and underground to cover the cross city travel to the nearest point and use a taxi the short distance to where you want to get to.

SillyBilly. Forget these ideas. The best way to see Bangkok in a short space of time and without any hassle from traffic jams is on a motorbike taxi - cheap too!

Just make sure your life insurance is up to date. :o

agree. you still could try to find a personal guide anyway.

but to get around quickly and efficient (with a guide or without), use BTS, MRT. for short distances, you can always hail down a cab on the road within seconds....
