1 Year Visa To Work On Website

Featured Replies

Hello, Thanks in advance for any info!

I'm 30 years old and have my own website which I make a couple grand a month. I'm single, with no negative background, from America.

My website is fitness related and I would like to live in Thailand for a year to study the Thai culture of fitness including Muy Thai and other forms of physical activity, yadda yadda yadda

Is there any visa which I can qualify for? Border crossing every so often is not something I will do.

You will not be able to stay in Thailand for one year without doing border runs based on what you have told us. Technically you will be working illegally and need a Work Permit. For what you will be doing most people find it too much of a problem to get and chance it without getting one.

You can always enrole in a Thai Language School and get a Visa that way. Look at the sponsors at the top of the page.

Or you may be able to do it by learning at a Muy Thai school. Members have reported doing this.

So crossing the border means actually flying? or driving across the border into Cambodia? Once you cross it renews the visa for 30 days only? I am still in the United States, is there anything I can do here to obtain a visa? English language teaching I could do, does it have to be full time? I have a bachelor and master degree from university.

Crossing the border means leaving Thailand and entering another country.

Arriving in Thailand without a Visa means you will receive a 30 day permission to stay stamp. Assuming you are allowed on the flight with a one way ticket and no Visa. Crossing the border into Cambodia etc and coming back will only give you a 15 day stay. So you really need a Visa to enter.

Apply for a 2 or 3 entries Tourist Visa from a Thai Consulate in the USA. You may even be able to get a Non Imm 0 Multi Entry Visa. Reason for visiting friends. Try a Hon Consulate like Huston they are more friendly than Embassies.

All these options will require border runs at least every 90 days.

For working as a teacher you need a Work Permit. Easier to come here , find a job and go from there.

Suggest you look around the Teacher Forum and ask for some advise there. Teaching Forum
