The "red Line" Jomtien Buses

Featured Replies

In the past week, twice I have seen the old Red Line buses operating.

The first time, I was at the Hanuman statue and saw one heading *INTO* Jomtien (they only operated in the opposite direction before, didn't they?), but I thought maybe it was a chartered excursion. There were three farang couples on the bus.

Today, I was exiting the Jomtien Complex condo driveway on foot, and a Red Line bus heading toward Pattaya slowed down, opened its door and the driver invited me to hop on. I was just crossing the street so I declined. But that seems to indicate they are operating as a bus service again.

When did they start operating again?

Is it just the Red Line, or are the other (what were they: Green and Yellow?) lines operating as well?

What is the fare this time? Any idea about "scheduled" frequency?

Maybe they've been operating continuously for years, but I can't recall the last time I saw one before this past week.

Yes, they are back for a while now. Anyone know their start and stop times?

so many PTY Expats and nobody actually has a clue about the recent situation ?

I think it is only the Red Line that is back and I agree with the OP they started back again fairly recently. Of course I could be wrong.

I wouldn't blame the expats. I would blame the bus company for horrendous publicity efforts.
