I urgently need to print, and fax a document to the united states. Does anyone know a place (preferably close to Chalong) where I could do this? Hopefully cheap, I'm down 120 baht! It's a wire request in case you're wondering.

It was 120 Baht. I really hope the wire goes through without any problems... what a pain trying to wire US funds overseas, when you are overseas. dam_n Moneygram would have worked, but they don't allow people from Thailand to open an account. Even though it was via a US bank!

Remind me NEVER to lose my ATM card overseas again. I'm like living at poverty level right, I've got like 70 baht in coins until I figure this out.

Oi... I'm praying for no problems with this dam_n wire. I'm really starting to dislike freeze dried noodles.

I know this doesn't help your current situation, but for future reference, you might want to setup a telephone-based wire transfer authorization from your US bank to your Thai account, just for backup purposes.

Once this is setup, you can call your bank, give your wire transfer PIN and have funds transferred the same day. No fax hassles. All for the cost of a phone call (which you most likely have to make during the US bank's office hours).

Western Union ?

All places charge a fortune for an overseas fax. If they dial 009 before the us number it only cost them about 5 baht a minute too. Its normal.
