How many menbers live in the "central region" of thailand, I've seen a few of you around supan, I'm in Nakorn Sawan, billd66 and mouse are in kampengpet, spee is up in pitchit or petchbun (sorry I always get confused between the two) and Kan win in kanganaburi. So where do you live ?

I'm right on the northern border of BKK and PathumThani (500m away) but spend nearly all my time around Rangsit (Pathum T.).

Most of my one day ride-arounds are in the Central area so I'm familiar with nearly all of the central provinces, especially 'Chan (Kanchanaburi.)

Now that I'm married unescorted stays in Pattaya are out of the question, so when in Thailand I'm now based in Singburi. What is there to do there?

Scouse.

Hi RC

Well I am here and I am not as it were because I am off to Pakistan for a couple of month on Feb 1st. Honestly it is true as they have provided me a ticket, given me some money and bought my body but not my soul for a while.

See you soon.

I might well just do that. We'll be there at the end of June. How far are you from Singburi?

We're not far away then. When you say Ingburi do you mean Inburi? If so that's where we'd be coming from.

Yea sorry Inburi, got quite a bit of family down there we could be related :D:o If you are staying there then we are only half hour away, which when you are used to driving 70 km to a supermarket it nothing :D

Actually, if you make a triangle consisting of Phichit, Taphan Hin and Phetchabun, we are almost right in the middle of the triangle. We're kind of on the border between Phetchabun and Phichit provinces.

Newbie to Forum, but I am living in Phitsanulok about 5-6 months a year for the last 2 years. Would love to meet some folks up here when I am around. Back in USA right now, will be back before Songkran.

southern Suphan...about 35 km from the tescos in the amphur...

I say we make a collective effort to have local vendors stock vodka (any kind...cheapest kind) so we don't waste fossil fuel resources looking for a good tipple...

the sweet chinese girl at the local Big Store says 'but Mr Tutsi, thais don't drink vodka...'. I says they would if it was available...please have your dad look into it...good business, yes...

Me and my little Thai bride will soon be shifting permanently back to LOS and our home near Samchuk, Suphanburi. Towards the northern end of the province and a bit of a haul down to Tescos.

Don't forget to show up there after 1100 and before 1400 hours or they won't sell you that vodka, Tutsi! :o

Boon...yes, something to think about...probably erroneous to presume that the restriction applies to beer only. We like to get to tescos right at opening time to avoid the crowds. I suppose one could sit upstairs in the food hall with a coke until the liquor shop opened. Would hate to return home empty handed...

Posted

Right, tutsi...cruised down there last week with the old lady, grabbed a cart and wheeled into the liquor section and was piling the bottles in when I got a tap on the sholder and a point to the clock. It was like, 9am when I like to beat the crowds too.

Sent the missus on to do the shopping and I drank coffee upstairs - good little coffee stand and lots of eye candy. More came in as lunch hour approached. The office gals in their stockings and high heels. Danm it was good to be back! :o

Posted

yes Boon...and (ooohhh, ooohhh) the school girls...I saw one heartbreaker who knew she was beautiful and studiously ignored the admiring glances of the mob...

the madonna of Suphanburi...lost appetite for my bowl of kwieteow...

Posted

True, true, but there is the odd shocker selling food though :o

Actually, I think I might go there now and have a look and see what eye-candy there is.

:D

I say we all hang at the tescos food hall and put moves on the ladies...let the locals know that they can't mess with us...

the lady that sells beer there is a friend...ask her about the big, fat, grey haired falang that always shows up with thai family in tow...

ask her about the big, fat, grey haired falang

You aren't the falang I nearly got into a fight with about a month ago in the BBQ Garden ?

My words being "Yark mee bphen ha mai "

And I got a no and a wai ???

Just curious :D

Edit to correct today's typing mistakes :o

mattnich...not me mate, I've been in Bahrain since June.

Us big fat, grey haired falangs all look alike...

Tell me when you are back, we can have a TV get-together in Suphan, for those interested.

That would be great, Matt. Count me in!

I'll be back for a visit sometime around June. I suggest the tescos food hall as the venue...

I can't make it in June, Tutsi - probably a little later in the year but I'm sure we'll get together some time soon to "take over" the food hall slumped over slurping our bowls of Kwaey Teeow letting the locals know who's boss! :o
