What are the best ( or only) ways of getting UBC / Internet on the Housing projects, ie Laguna Home .

Have any got cable yet or is it through satellite/phone line.

Iam buying a house soon and advice would be appreciated

UBC is a dish to satellite system and I am unaware of any limitations by developments as to having a dish, since they are quite small. Just visit a UBC office and they will come out and install.

Internet access has been discussed exhustively in the fourm on internet and computers and research there will answer all your questions in that regard. Some high end develoments may have ensured broadband service to their house, only in Bangkok if it has been done.

We had True cable broadband in bangkok. As True stops we switched to TOT ADSL. The helpdesk service of True is very bad. Also the first six months our connection was often down for a day. We would call and a guy would check out the cable wiring in our neighbourhood. It often did not work when it rained.

TOT ADSL is good and cheap. We pay around 950 baht and that includes telephone.
