Where do you live do you reside in Thailand or are you just a holiday visitor. Yes they have many dealerships, possibly not like what you are used to as in the vehicles are overpriced and the dealers are reluctant to offer any deals.

look around very carefully then decide. Also think can i afford to lose this money( i dont know you or your girlfriend but if you do not have a long term visa it will be in her name, so her property. be aware of this fact)

as for price from 400thou up to 600 thou depending on spec

I do appreciate the concerns on the other advise as I am well seasoned on other things in Thailand. I am just looking to provide my GF a way of transporting materails to her mini mart while her visa clears. The truck will tehn be given to the family.

Dj in that case don't get a fancy expensive truck get a 200,000baht truck something like the Ford Ranger, very reliable and robust. I got my 2004 4 door/doublecab with 117km's and a carryboy top for just 230,000 baht. They also had 2d super cabs for 210,000. Lovely condition. if you want some info send me a PM.

Unless you are loaded, there is no point in going down this route.

You say until her visa clears. You mean fiancée visa ? as if you don't marry, I think she'll be coming back fairly soon.

Buy an old banger. Bt100/150k or so. I'd buy nothing as it is just a waste of money.
