Bus From Phuket To Hua Hin?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to travel from Phuket to Hua Hin by bus? If so how long does it take? What time do the buses leave? How much is it?

hi Laurie,

Sure is possible. The large public buses leave from the main terminal in Phuket City. Are you in Phuket now? I would advise you go down there, buy your ticket at least two days in advance to get the most favorable time/bus. By the way, as far as price, its up to you...non aircon cattle bus, less than B100....I usually opt for the VIP 24 buses(as in only 24 super large comfy seats/reclining, newest buses, best drivers, toilets, movies, food etc.) around B350..but up to you. time...emmm depends but figure 8hours....also could bus to Surat Thani then train to Hua Hin, a nice train ride....If you want to have the travel agents do the work you will pay lots more for the same or the horrible little minivans from ######..again up to you. Good luck

Yes I am in Phuket. I shall follow your advice and wander in to the bus station.

Thank you

A reply has been posted to the Hua Hin forum suggesting that the only bus is at 4 -5pm, takes 8 hours and drops off on the bypass 14 km outside Hua Hin. Is that your experience?

Sorry Laurie,

Things may have changed since I last did the bus to Hua Hin like 8 years ago. My last couple times did the train. But yeah, if it were me, I would invest the time and go to the bus station and check it out....good luck
