If Flight Gets Cnx

Featured Replies

Greetings to all. My first post.

I am making a run to Penang in a few weeks and have already bought tickets with Air Asia. I am leaving on the last day possible before an overstay and now realize maybe this wasn't such smart planning since the flight can get cnx. I am taking the evening flight and there would be no more flight till the next morning.

If the flight does get cnx, what would be my option at the airport? Does anyone know if I talked to immigration and explained the situation, would they be able to extend me a day or two?

I know overstaying one day is no big deal but I am trying to keep a perfectly clean record and be the outstanding law abiding visitor.

Thanks for all inputs.

In my experience the immigration officers are not ogres.

If you you have a confirmed booking and the flight is cancelled you will get

a little leeway to go on the next available flight.

The airline also has a responsibility if the cancelled the flight.

PS going to Penang via Chaing Mai sounds a long way round!

The code for Chiang Mai is CNX.

I proffer that the cnx he was using was an abbreviation for cancel. :0

hehehe.........i concur.......amusing though. :o
