Nice colors, you get a sense that it is quite cold too.

2 problems though: There is a lot of wasted space behind the monk, it would have been netter if you had framed it so that there was open space in front of him instead. Also, it would have been good if we could have seen more of the face.

Truly a beautiful picture, the colors are outstanding and so pleasing to look at. Glad you didn't get a full view of the face as you did in your other recent submission of grandfather and old woman making sticky rice.

this is a good photo the 'gooey' light suits the scene and helps evoke the pensive attitude of the Monk

BUT

you seem to have trouble with framing. from memory you have a zoom on your camera,,,, try to allow more space around the subject and then crop at a latter date on your computer when you have a bigger image to work with. Also try to use the view finder not the led screen to compose your pictures this will confine you eye to the task and eliminate distractions

this crop helps but its a still a bit tight at the bottom of the frame
