Samui Aquarium

Featured Replies

Hi, Just wondered if anybody had been to the aquarium lately ? is it worth a visit ? Expensive ? Whats to see. Just doing the tourisy things before leaving. We did the preserved monk and Muang Nam waterfall yesterday and had a lovely day. Somebody mentioned the aquarium but had not been. Cheers in advance :o:D

swimming with the seals, sounds good, where are you talking about is it where the tiger, and bird show is,

I haven't been for a Year or so, wanted to charge me & the little one ( she was 2 at the time ) 1,200 THB for entrance which was outrageous but i " got it down " to 1,000 THB, still outrageous in my opinion for what it is but i couldn't not go in after promising the little one..

The seals were munched months ago......tom yum i think...they were way behind on there rent apparently....

Went there a few years ago. The aquarium was good and seemed well run.

Lots of Tigers and baby ones for photo sessions (wonder what happens to them when they grow up as there always seems to be one available).

The cages outside housed creatures like Meerkats, squirrels etc and they were in a dreadful condition. I vowed never to go back again as I found it to be a most upsetting experience.

Hope their lot has improved.

Sounds like its a place to give a miss to. Did a tour of the other waterfalls yesterday. Leaving Samui soon so wanted to do the sights before leaving. Going to Ang Thong tomorrow for the day with the missus. Cheers for the tips Dunc :o

The fish are ok and the bird show is good. Not too happy about the Tigers and other animals though. They do not look very well cared for.
