I would steerclear of Plasma TVs as they are known to leak gas and have a limited life, hence manufacturers could be offering what seems like mega deals on Plasma TVs,

Wait for availability/ sensible pricing on LCD flat TVs.

Hi Fisher ,

I bought a plasma 6 months ago , I went to see every models on the market , the cheaper are not so good ..

I was looking at Sony , but Sony is relatively expensive and do not make own self the plasma screen .

I went for a Samsung , I believe they are the best.

You have a new dimension looking at wide screen, and very happy with the purchase .

As it is digital I ask UBC to change my analogue for digital receiver.

I believe for an expensive purchase like that you need to shop around, look at many models and perhaps a trip in Bangkok are adequate.

LCD fine but how many years for a 42 inch before it hit the market..

Time will tell about the suburban legends regarding the plasma .

If you do search they have already some posts regarding plasma on visa.com
