ozsamurai Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 I was having a drink in Patpong, when an English guy, turned white and did a nose dive into the bar, the staff were useless, so I step up, check the guys vitals, as he is now out cold on the floor, another expat came over and we took care of him till the medics arrived. Later, after checking himself out of the hospital, he was back at the bar drinking like a fish again.... I wonder whether it was worth it or not.... not even a thanks mate!...
Jungian Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I did my internship and 4 year residency at a level one trauma center on the trauma team and continued for another 7 years as a staff psychiatrist, I can't count how many lives we saved but.... I also can't count how many we lost. The good news is we were one of the top 10 hospitals in the USA with the lowest mortality rate. I kind of miss the work but I'm getting to old for that kind of excitement and drama not to mention the 32 hour work day twice a week no longer agrees with me with 20 minutes of sleep between traumas.
