Hi,

Trying to get from Chaing Mai to Mukdahan without having to go to bangkok first .

Have tried many internet sites without success.

Can anyone advise.

Chiang Mai to Ubon Ratchatani takes about 18 hours by bus with Nakorn Chai Air Bus Company.

Then Mukdahan is a couple of hours north of Ubon.

A direct Chiang Mai-Mukdahan (via KK) service was recently introduced.

I've seen this bus several times in Mukdahan,the route is advertised on the side of the bus.Unsure of the bus company or timetable,however i imagine all relevant details could be obtained at the local bus station in Chiang Mai.

There are at least two bus companies that service the kk-CM route. I don't remember the names of the companies. From KK to Muk shouldn't be a problem, but I don't have any experience on that route.

From CM-KK is about 10.5 hours.
