Looking For Studio Or 1br In Bkk

Just arrived in BKK and I am looking to rent an apartment. I would like to find something near Chit Lom, Phloen Chit, or in that general area. I would be looking to rent for 1 year but due to the somewhat crazy nature of my business may need to get out of the lease sooner if forced to relocate.

My taste in furnishings tends to be elegant and modern. I would like to find a 1BR but could do with a very nice studio in the right location and at the right price.

At the moment I'm trying to decide if a serviced apartment is the better way to go though serviced apartments tend to be a little more expensive than I want to pay. My budget is up to 30K. I stayed here last year at the President Solitaire which is a nice 4 star hotel and they gave me a rate of 50K a month. I would really like to find something similar but in the 30K range. Oh, any maybe something not dead square in the middle of BKK's nightlife so I'm not so tempted to slowly kill myself partying :-)

I've been checking around on Mr. Room Finder and some other sites but most everything fitting that description tends to be out towards Ekamai or anything near Wireless Rd strays into the sky-high prices.
