Outside the Big C on the east side of town (NOT Hang Dong), there's a couple furniture shops. They take orders for custom sized tables, shelving, and basically anything you want. We have a small house and had trouble finding the right sized items to fit. If you need some basic, well made woodwork at a cheap price you might find this place useful. I'm in no way connected to this place. Just happy to find a good deal, a friendly face, and something that doesn't fall apart when you bring it home! Google Earth placemark attached.

Yes i think it is the same shop i used to have a dresser/sideboard made, (with tiles inlaid on the top) the one they had on display was to big and they made me a smaller one at no extra cost i assume as the one they made was below the price of the larger one proportionally.

Not teak or hard wood but all the same very good value for money!
