Places To Stay In Phuket ?

Featured Replies

Hello, l'm planning a trip to Phuket for 10 days at the start of June with my wife and five year old daughter, we live in Pattaya and l have never been to Phuket before despite living in Thailand for over 7 years !!!

Would anyone be able to recommend a good hotel that's fairly central and offers good facilities for children, did'nt want to pay more than 2,500 baht per night if possible. l realise this information is freely available from tour companies etc, but l would prefer to get the opinion of people who live there. Thanks

I don't know where in Phuket you wanna stay. I would recommend Kata Beach, not so busy as Patong, but a very nice family place. Central located hotels like Sugar Palm Hotel and Kata Poolside Hotel cost 3000-4500 in high season, but are just 800-900 pr. night now in low season. I have stayed in both before my house finished here, and both are value for money (in low season). I would choose Kata Poolside first. When you book short time before travelling, the website latestays.com have most hotels in Phuket at very good rates.

Welcome to Phuket!

I second Kata Beach, but try to get a beachfront hotel, like Kata Beach hotel or Karon Beach hotel. Most of the hotels in Kata involve a short walk to the beach.

Kata Beach Resort is beachfront, and it should be within your budget in Summer Season.

If not, Kata Poolside is only 200 meters from the beach.

Karon tend to be more windy and larger waves in Summer Season.

Kata Tani could be nice if within budget, but very quiet at Kata Noi in low season

Try latestays.com for booking. Usually cheaper than directly to the hotel.

Welcome to Paradise :)
