Airport To Kata

Hi I will arrive in Phuket in two weeks time, can someone please tell me How much does it cost for taxi from airport to Kata (I have done a search and got nothing back)

650 Baht,you go to the desk directly infront of you when you come out of arrivals,all prices are printed on a board.This price may have changed in the last few months.

650 baht is the airport taxi. Bit cheaper if you take the meter taxi, stand is to the right side of arrivals under the departures flyover.

If you do take a taxi meter, they will first quote you a flat rate. Tell them to just run the meter.  The taxi meter I took was in terrible condition and the rear seats were very uncomfortable, maybe due to an LPG tank being installed in the boot.  Couldn't find a comfortable spot in the rear seats and the air didn't work.  Maybe I just had a crappy taxi meter, but all of the cars I saw didn't look in good shape compared to the airport taxis which are mainly new(er) camrys.

I think I will just take the airport taxi for all the extra it will cost
