Give Billy's Bar a try in Hua Hin. It's a popular ex-pat hangout and has both pool and darts. It is located on the main road to the Hua Hin beach (across from the side of the Sofitel in a little walking alleyway between the shops (massage and car/motorbike rental places). There's a sign on the road I think but ask anyone around there and they'll know where it is if they live here. It's a Hua Hin icon and has been there for many years... no girls for hire.

A little further into the same alleyway past a couple of tatoo parlors and late night/early morning karoke places is Bernie's Inn. If you are a golfer, this is the home of the Hua Hin Golf society and a golfer's hangout.

These are two of the oldest and friendliest ex-pat bars in town. As with most places at the moment though, not much daytime business but lots of expats in the evenings.

Try Johnnie Walkers Bar just around the corner in Soi Selekam from O'Neils, not so much for pool but is a bit more upmarket than most is The Monsoon Bar (down towards the fishing piers), and further down past there is Buffalo Bills, serves a lot of imported beers and food is pretty good as well.

Try London Bar opposite crawfords behind the temple.

Has a pool table. Some girls too though !

Owned by an English guy called Paul."Shiney" to his mates because he has no hair!!

Good fun there

The Freetime bar is about 100 metres from the crazy railway crossing, (going out of town) it has a pool table and is very well ran by an English guy, "Peter" and his Thai wife "Porn"

Can someone tell me how to get to Billy's bar. Thanks. Back next Sept.

It's just off Damnoernkasem road. That's the main road that crosses Phetkasem Road at the main traffic light and runs to the main Hua Hin beach area. Immediately before you get to the stalls that sell beachwear, hats, shells, etc on both sides of the street and on the opposite side from the Sofitel there is a little (somewhat hidden) alley for walking traffic only. The entrance is directly behind a lot of rental car and motorbike businesses. Walk into the alley and Billy's is the first bar on the right hand side. I think there are signs at the mouth of the alley for both Billy's Bar and Bernies Inn (which is the golfer's bar a little further into the alley past a couple of karoke and tatoo places. There is also an entrance to this same alley from a small sidewalk that runs from Naresdamri Road (the main tourist street that the Hilton is on) directly beside the Mai Tai bar (South side). Take the sidewalk between the Mai Tai and another bar and at the end to your right you will see Bernies. Walk through Bernies past the tatoo and karoke places and you will see Billy's on the left.
