How Best To Sell Thai Land?

Featured Replies

Hi,

if you have had success in selling your land (or house) in Thailand, please can you let me know how you went about it.

Word of mouth, local ads, internet, employing an estate agency...? What is the most effective way of selling land here??

Thank you very much for your advice,

James

Bangkok Post or maybe also the Nation

Start with a classified ad on Thaivisa! :)

Look at values of similar land in your area - price your land to sell say 10-15% less and give it to as many local agents as you can , giving them an extra commission for a quick sale

Where is your land located, how big is it & how much do you want to sell it for?

Some photos / maps would help.

Best way to sell it is go to as many agents as posibble set up a few viewings and go from there.

Thanks for the replies so far. It is a small plot of land 130km outside of Bangkok opposite the Khao yai National Park in Muak Lek district, hence there are not a lot of local agents nearby. I am located in Lampang, and do not know if it would be best to use any Bangkok based or farang run agencies?

cheers

i might google something like 'khao yai land for sale' and see what real estate sites come up first, and which look most professional, and list with them...

try to think like the people who might be looking for what you have.

note: you may enlist a thai friend to google same in thai language...

That area tends to be more popular with Thais than expats. I would look at getting it up on one of the big Thai language sites, like teedindd.com or land.co.th.

Tell us more about it. You might get some interest from members. How much land? Is there electricity there? What is your asking price?
