I just unpacked a load of stuff I had in storage on Koh Phangan and recently bought to Surin.

Inside one of the boxes was an entire PC minus the case and the motherboard (stripped out of the old case to make it smaller for moving).

So I need to find a new case and a new mainboard.

Which PC shop in Surin do you chaps feel carries the best selection?

Cheers.

Hi (again)

A number of friends & forum members (TV& Surinferang) that I have recomended to go see Prin at Dot Com have not been disappointed.

The Surin shop is opposite the Water Company, just past the big roundabout with the statue on it. They hold a lot of stock, onsite too.

Don't use OA computers, their after sales is like Makro.I have not tried Daves mate, but I now always go to the one on the Post Office roundabout.

You should try the opticians there, Martin

Wow! now thats a sight for sore thighs :)

I knew you would answer this thread Dave :)

I'll pop in and take a look.

Can't remember ever seeing the one you are talking about Martin, I'll keep away from it though on your advice.

OA is just after the Memorial hotel junction going toward the water tower. Nearly everything I've had from there has gone wrong, and cost me to be put right.

I tried Daves mate, and the service was excellent.

I managed to pick up a cheap mainboard and case, and now have a rather nice entertainment PC complete with remote control in the living room.

One thing I could not find was a TV tuner card, so I can plug the thing into the TV ariel so the misses can watch Thai TV. Anyone seen them for sale anywhere?

Glad alls well,Mac. Im in there at 11 o'clock and will ask.

Although I NEVER watch Thai TV, I download torrents daily from various sites to watch UK&US shows without the need for a TV card, just a thought?

Hi

I understand the reason Prin does not stock TV cards is because the picture quality is so poor in Thailand most people get round it by other ways.

Just been to see Daves mate'' Prin'' today and forked out a fair bit on a complete new set up.

I must say it amounts to what looks like the Dogs Shnigglers. He's fitting me up with the system

tomorrow complete with all the software i require.

Happy as a pig in leopard skin knickers.

Stitrep to follow.

P.S One thing i noticed was that Prin goe's through the purchase with you peice by piece and at all times he gives you an honest recommendation on a particular item. He won't do the usual and give you some spiel about the most expensive kit, he in fact is very honest and deals with minimum bullsh1t.
