Round Trip Vs One Way Tix

Featured Replies

i plan on entering bangkok with a new multiple entry one year non-immig b visa.i do plan on going back home to take care of financial matters and ship my household goods as i will have a work permit by then.

as round trip tickets are cheaper than one way tickets, can i get a round trip ticket with a non-definite return date that can last 90 days?

also when i come back to thailand,i would like to first stop in singapore so can i get a one way ticket into singapore and then come back to thailand?

Or at least tell us what country you are talking about. Got the Thailand and Singapore but you forgot to say what country "home" is.

A normal air ticket can be used up to one year but these are not normally the cheap type.

Believe shipment of HHE must be received after you have a one year extension of stay/work permit so make sure on that if you want duty free entry.

You have a Thai visa so o/w ticket is not a problem but Singapore could be another story and not sure airline will fly you. I would come to Bangkok o/w and use a local cheap fare ticket to visit Singapore myself.

:D

I believe you can get a normal fare ticket with an open return good for life of ticket.

Here is something I have done. You can buy a ticket into Thailand and then out to Japan (just using Japan as example). Use open booking for Japan leg, or at least have a 2 week or more stay in Thailand. Then on arrival in Thailand go to that airlines agent in BKK. Use the unused portion of the ticket (to Japan) as credit for purchasing other tickets on same carrier around Asia. Example: Singapore, Indonesia, back to Thailand. You will get local prices/discounts. Also it may be tax-free. You must have purchased the original ticket in your name (no third party tickets) and the airline will have to verify with your original place of purchase before they will give you credit. Verification usually takes 2 to 3 days maximum.

:o

If you fly with Emerate airlines you get an automatic 90 day validation for your return ticket, although you have to specify the date which you will return when you purchase it, it can be easily changed by a phonecall.

With me it was like, "I'm coming back a couple of days later, that ok?'

"yes fine"

Couple of days later........

Actually I've changed my mind! Can I....?

"Yes fine"

I did that about 4 times! :o
