For anyone looking to go to Scandinavia, SAS http://www.flysas.com/th has a really good promotion going on. I booked a flight in Economy in mid August Bangkok-Gothenburg-Bangkok and the total came out at 31700 Baht. I checked with multiple travel agencies for the exact same dates and they quoted me between 47000-52000 Baht!

Hmmmm, Copenhagen is B46,030.00 after they add B12,630.00 of TAX:

travelers flights taxes 1 adult(s) x (33,400.00+12,630.00) = 46,030.00 THB (10,147.00 SEK) total for all travelers 46,030.00 THB (10,147.00 SEK)

If you are a bit flexible you can simply choose an earlier or later flight and you will get a much cheaper price. The prices varied as much as 15000 Baht for flights on the same day but different times! I think this is why the travel agents quoted me such high prices as they were probably not too keen on looking for the cheapest flights as it would cut their commission :)

I've also always wondered why prices are so much cheaper flying the other way around? Last year I paid 47000 Baht flying Bangkok-Stockholm-Gothenburg and back with Thai airways and the exact same flight (but other way around Gothenburg-Stockholm-Bangkok and back) was only 32000 Baht! I tried booking from a Swedish travel agent but they refused to take it.

I noticed a strange thing. When you try to book Scnadinavian on their local web-site in Sweden you directly get quoted a price including taxes but on their Thai web-site the taxes does not pop up until you are on page 3 or 4!
