In september/october my son comes to Thailand to celebrate both our birthdays and to get married.

They need a RC priest

They want to get married on the beach

They found a wedding planner who asks 1.200 euro for the ceremony, I think that is far too much.

Can anybody advise us?

Thanks in advance..

There is a catholic church in Phuket Town or alternatively visit Dowroong Withaya School & speak with the headmaster, it is a catholic school.

The Wedding Planner should take care of the RC priest and all other details if not you are paying him to much>advice find another wedding planner. Give the wedding your blessings and come on over for a jolly good time for the birthdays and the wedding. Congs on both. :D:D:D:D:)

I know it is too much money That is Why I am asking you all.

Do you have any serious suggestions?

Best bet is to come down and interview the wedding planners, priests, and look at the various options available to you. I'm sure if you do a search for "wedding planners phuket" you can get all the phone numbers and contacts you'll need before you come to interview them.

All these 'organised beach marriages' are relatively expensive. Best you goto the RC church in Phuket Town in person. Doubt there is any website contact. There is also a RC chapel in Patong, off Soi Ketsup, run by charitable brothers.

Just a reminder that a catholic wedding is not a legal wedding in Thailand and as such not recognised. To be legaly wed one has to go to the district office with all the requried papers. If not, the marriage is before god only and will not be legaly recogised. Not in Thailand, nor in other countries as it was not done in the way described by law.

We know and there will be a legal marriage also, but the RC ceremony is the emotional part. Can someone give me some telephone numbers of priests?

Thank you but I live in Chiang Mai, so I need at least web sites, telephone numbers etc.

This took me 5 seconds to find. This is the catholic school I mentioned earlier.
