pattaya_girl
Someone told me that its cheaper to dial 00844 before the number. I call my Mother in the UK sometimes, and do actually find it cheaper than before.
beano2274
pattayagirl - 008 is a prefix from TOT, costs around 7baht per min. CAT Card is 2 baht per minute and the quality is exceptional good.

beano2274
A CAT card is a CAT Telecom card, you can buy from most good supermarkets. It has a value which can be used for calls to most countries

AnnAnn
http://www.truemove.com/eng/product/package/tm_sim_inter.htm Only 1 Baht / min, using 2 step dialing. I use it to call mu mum in Singapore everyday. US & UK also 1 Baht / min. I bought the SIM in 7-11 when I first arrived in Phuket. Evey top-up (no minimum), will extend your SIM validity by ONE year. The cheap 1 baht/min card to UK I have actually costs me over 5 baht/min because I have to make the local call connection first which costs 4 baht/min on my 1-2-call card. Plus you have to pay this local rate for mis-dials, dialling time, long holds etc. Therefore it works out to be about the same as my land-line 001 809 number (7 baht/min + VAT). Am I missing something, is the CAT card 2 baht/min the total price or do you still have to pay for the local connection?
