Says the Man who " doesn't necessarily support " his own Country...

My own country. What an interesting concept. Anyway ...

What my bright boy has a got to do with b ? You are further up than even Mr.B.J who also struggled to understand that one doesn't have to support a team to understand the limitations of it.

Still you been born of a Pearly King and Queen have no doubt watched every game, if not have been there yourself. :D

So exactly how many matches did you actually watch, MSingh ?

PS

I'll be watching every game in the Ashes series and hoping that we win. You see I find England cricket supporters less of an embarrassment than Ingerland football supporters. I wonder why ? :D

Where are you from then HH, that might explain a lot ??

Me ?? Games ??

Season Ticket from the Age of 6 with Dad, Uncle & Cousin up until the age of 14 where i got one with my Friends until the age of 17/18 when i went abroad for a while whilst only missing 4 Games in total Seasons 96/97 & 97/98 which i am pretty proud of to be honest, Home & Away..

Have been abroad on & off for the last 9 or so Years so not great attendance for me but i have still managed to watch West Ham in Jokerit Finland, Heerenveen & Den Haag Holland, Celtic Park Glasgow, Metz France, Columbus Ohio, Toronto Canada & i'm booked to go to Beijing for the Asia Trophy this July..

I have also travelled with England to France 98 WC ( Marseille, Lens & St Etienne ), Holland & Belgium ( Charleroi ) 2000 EC, Portugal 2004 EC ( can't remember to honest, Faro maybe rings a bell ) along with Qualifiers in Braatislava Slovakia, the Friendly in Dublin, a Friendly in Amsterdam & a Friendly at the Stade De France..

So that's me, what about you ??

Oh & no i couldn't make Sweden this Summer, although my Dad did with a few of his Friends, i decided on Beijing instead.. :D

Why are people always asking me this ? Born and bred in Essex of an East Saxon (Essex) Father and Welsh Mother. Not sure what that might explain ? Except maybe a soft spot for Wales -- although that's generally reserved for rugby only.

Abroad ? Never with England and only once with West Ham to the Heysel in the 1976 European Cup Winners' Cup Final.

Although I saw Celtic and Sporting play in an earlier round in Portugal in the 90's. But that was more to do with living and working in Portugal at the time. Celtic lost badly as I remember.

I guess that I must be around your fathers age. I can remember Cantwell, Woosnam, Bond, Dicks, Gregory, Bovington, and others playing when I first started going to Upton Park. The Chicken Run back then was , on reflection, a potential death trap made of corrugated iron with a wooden floor.

But I'm not sure what all this has to do with my question concerning how many matches that you've seen in this U21 Championship ?

Hmm. Beijing that sounds like an interesting place to visit , if you have time take-in other things other than the football.

Maybe people ask you all the time because yu say things like the below, amongst others :

" My own country. What an interesting concept. Anyway ..."

& i reckon my Dad is younger than you to be honest.

Edit : Sorry, just realised you was asking an attmepted humourous question about the Under 21's, i managed to stream the opened against Finland, fell asleep for the Spain Game, had a dreadful Stream for German Group Game & got so frustrated i turned it off, Streamed Sweden V Bulgaria successfully, had a bad Strema for the England Semi & watched Italy V Germany Semi on Thai Channel 7, what about you ??

I didn't like Beijing. Once you've seen The Forbidden City, Great Wall and Tianomon (sp), not much else to see really. I prefer Shanghai.

Erm. When I say that people ask me all the time. Actually, you're only the second one. I was just qualifying having to repeat myself. But you obviously haven't quite understood what I meant in saying that "my country" was an interesting concept. But it's of little consequence really.

I guessed that may be the case. But pray tell. Why do you often add "to be honest" at the end of a sentence. Does that imply that unless stated we can assume that you write the opposite ? :D

No humour was intended. I was only eliciting an answer to my question.

I watched the England U21's play, presumably at their best against Spain, and never bothered to turn on the next match as I wasn't that impressed really. And I can honestly say that I've never found a German side at any level particularly inspiring anyway. Even the West Germany of the Beckenbauer era. It's fair to say that I've got selective in what I choose to watch in my old age. :)

You get around a bit mate. Unlike your poor old namesake, mrbojangles :)

Is it in the nature of your work ?

Yeah, some is work related but i also like to travel alot. A mate of mine lives just outside Shanghai, so I've been to see him many times.

Thank God/Allah/Buddah i've never met you before..

You seem like a dreadful Human Being in my opinion from your Postings.

Sarcastic, Arrogant, Ignorant, Unfunny, Abusive etc etc etc & i'm glad ( hope/pray ) i'll probably never meet you..

The Stereotypical, over 50, Foreign Male that resides in the Land of Smiles..

But that's just my opinion & i'm a " silly little Man " amongst other things, so what do i know.. :D

Yes indeed my son, what would you know. :D

btw

there is no Buddha separate from human beings and no monotheistic primary cause (no God/Allah). So you can only try and activate hope. The rest is up to you. :)
