The Good Old Culture Course

Good afternoon to you all.

I know that various topics already exist on this subject but none with recent posts.

Please help me a little. As of last time I checked the Teachers Council were still giving out second exemption letters to those who still do not meet all the criteria to get a licence.

My questions:-

1. Is this still the situation?

If yes.......

2. Does one HAVE TO do the culture course before applying for a new exemption.

Thanks to anyone who can help me on this matter. I live quite a way from Bangkok and would like to try and get everything in order at the first time of asking.

I just asked our wonderful Administrative Assistant who takes care of all that stuff. She informed me that we have an exemption. I just got a 5 year license and I have never taken it. I didn't take it when it was offered at our school for the last license.

I will try and follow up on her when I have someone who can translate well, since it's easy to get mixed up on the finer points of some of these regulations.

This is how it is being handled in this area of Bangkok--other areas may be different.
