Blu Tack

Featured Replies

Has anyone seen blu tack for sale or does anyone know where it can be found? I am sure most know what it is, but for those who don't, it is a blue coloured soft reusable putty-like pressure-sensitive adhesive that has many uses. Thanks for any pointers.

Not seen 'Blu Tac' here but was looking recently.

However you will be delighted to know they have the same but it is yellow!

It is called 'UHU Patafix' (made in Germany) and I bought some recently from 'The Office' the big office supplies shop in BangKapi. This chain is all over I think and I know there is one on Sukhumvit, Phrom Pong same side of the road from Robin Hood Pub walking away towards the higher Soi numbers (although you may know this already).

It comes in yellow packaging and the 'Patafix' is written in red, for when you are scouring the aisles, as the shop assistant will no doubt have no idea what you are going on about. No idea of price.

Cheers

Siam Paragon has Blu Tac in the stationery section. They also have the UHU stuff.

Available in many supermarkets but under a different name, usually in the stationery section.

Hi dave2 - Thanks for the reply and to everyone else for their replies.

I am indeed after the original blu-tack (tac) product. I was aware of the yellow substitute, but I am used to the blue stuff, so will try and follow the leads provided here and hope I will be successful in finding it. Thanks to everyone again.

Can the blu tac be removed from walls without taking off the paint? My landlord seems deeply concerned about any holes in the walls etc. and I have been wondering how to decorate.....

and to think I had been buying mine in oz and bringing it over. None of the thais here had seen it before. :)

In Pinklao Central sells the real Blu Tac in the Book shop on the 4th floor
