Engine Casings On Honda Waves

Featured Replies

Hi all. I have a fairly new Honda Wave but the black paint on the engine casing is coming off. It now is starting to look like crap. What I was wondering was, what is the best way to repair this problem? I imagine that just getting the local motorbike shop to repaint it may result in it coming off again in the future or worse. Has anyone had any experience in getting a 'decent' repair like this done before? If so could you please advise as to where you go it done etc etc. Thanks in advance.

As I have a similar problem, I will ask at the Thalang Honda shop when I take my "Wave" in there tomorrow.

Thanks, I will be interested in their reply.

When I asked about this problem in my local Honda shop, they laughed a lot, then asked me why I wanted to do it.

After a while they did say they could put new colour on it and would cost about 1000 Baht :)

I said I would think about it.

I might buy engine block paint in Oz next time I'm visiting if I can't find it here.

Would I be pointing out the obvious by saying "its a wave" :)

Forget it..

Yes i know it's a Wave but i still don't like things to look like crap and it annoys me that a fairly new bike can have this problem. Thanks for the info Leungken, maybe it would be better to do by oneself.
