sriracha john
In a way, it's hopeful that the Thai military are keeping up to date on the new technology... but on the other hand, it's cheating on an advancement exam. That would certainly be grounds for dismissal from the American military. I'm curious to know how this turns out. Will it be swept underground like they did for Thaksin's son when he cheated on a university exam?

Just written exams. I never used such questions in my tests, and I never ever had any real problems with cheaters. It really isn't that hard to put a crimp in cheating, but most teachers dread grading written exams because they take more time to grade. But, they're also going to give a truer idea of lessons learned...

cdnvic
They'll probably try to get away with it by using that tired old "I'm not a cheat... I'm a sexual deviant." defense. cv
Jai Dee
probably cheating is "showing advancement in thinking" That's not as silly as it sounds... I have been exposed to situations here in Thailand in which people have been lauded as "being smart" because they've gotten away with doing something wrong or cheating. Foggy Bottom
Section of Thai Army entrance exam (multiple choice section) You are manning a road block and search a car. You find the driver has 3000 yaba pills in a belly bag, and the 3 passengers each have 2500 yaba pills in their bum bags - how many yaba pills have you confiscated? a - 10,000 b - 5,000 c - Ask the Captain d - None the driver and passengers ran away with them On patrol in the Mae Hong Song forests, you enter an Akha village at 1.00am and a dog barks at you - do you a - shoot the dog b - drag the village headman out of his hut and shoot him c - burn the village blaming the Burmese or KNA d - wake everyone up, search the village for drugs, and arrest anyone with a high school diploma There is a peaceful gathering of protesters in a southern province and the local police are getting restless. You are commanding a routine security patrol nearby, do you - a - Arrest the protestors b - find the local Lao Khao stall and await further orders c - shoot a few protesters and place machetes in their hands d - throw grenades into a local mosque Now why do they need to cheat on exams like these?
