Rachayotin Bridge Closed?

Featured Replies

I heard from my cousin that Rachayotin Bridge, were Rachadapisek Rd. crosses over Phahonyotin, is going to be closed for 1 month starting September 1 for maintenance. Does anyone know or heard about this? I have to cross it everyday on my way to work.

Thanks!

I dread to think what traffic chaos that closure will bring.

yes, it is closing from the 1st September for one month for sure, was announced on the local news. We also use that bridge most days for going down to Major (Rachayotin). We can also use the Nawamin road though but that still leads out to the same place that the bridge comes down to so what with everyone having to use that way things will be worse than the usual for a month - or two, looking at the state of it and this being Thai workmanship of course!!!

Yes, there is a sign announcing the works hanging from the bridge (south side), saying the closure will be for a month starting 1 September.

Hold onto your hats - this is going to be h o r r i b l e for those of us who live around Ratchayothin!

Just when I'm coming back to Thailand :)

This is going to be bruuutttaaaaaaallll..... :D

Certainly is, looks like an alternative route for my daughter when she goes to school in the mornings.

Yes, my wife told me about this too. We live very close by. Its going to be horrible. Actually, we can see this bridge from our place.

Its going to suck bigtime.

There is probably going to be construction noise 24/7. TIT

Thanks for the confirmation, I didn't hear anything about on the news, and didn't see any signs about it either...guess it was too small or I just wasn't paying attention. This is gonna suck big time, there's enough traffic there as is, guess I gotta find another way to get to work!
