My wife (thai) is selling a motorcycle here in bangkok registered in her name. The potential buyer is farang on tourist visa. ANy problems? what documentation does he need to bring to reg office to avoid potential problems?

  • 2 weeks later...

He need papers from his Living place (Hotel, Condo, House if rented from the owner)

With this papers and his passport he can join the immigration to get a special dokument that allows him to register a bike in his name... he need a copy of the passport and visa (simple tourist visa is enough), 2 passport pictures too for the document from the immigration..

If he dont live in bangkok he must go first to the "land of transportion" in bangkok and also later to the Land of transportion in his living province..

-selling contract (yes there are special once to buy, its not only a contract that you caan design by hand)

-signature from the old owner in the book that also confirm the transfer
