Huawei Made Umts "surf Stick" For Al Speeds

Featured Replies

Branded Vodafone, they are sold on eBay.de for as little as 250 Baht. But there might be software conflicts?

Q: has anyone used one over here with an AIS data SIM card?

You install the stick, then put in the Sim card?

Would Huawei update the internal software, as needed, for a fee?

Cheers, Chris

Maybe you should consider posting a link so that we see the 250 baht 'surf stick' for ourselves...

Looks like it should work, as long as they didn't lock the device to a vodafone simcard.

It seems to be in use in Malaysia with local simcards, so should work over here as well.

Can't find on which UMTS frequencies it works, so no idea if you can use True's 3G offerings (850 Mhz). GPRS/Edge will certainly work...

Why they are 250 baht on ebay if they are about 4000 baht ( 450 myr) straight from the manufacturer.Must be some difference I guess.

Yeah might be a good idea to post a link cos the cheapest I could find on ebay was 70 Usd,not included the auctions with a starting bid of 8 dollar which at the end will fetch the same price anyway.

The only possibility for an 'unlocked' 3G USB modem at that price is in my thread in the Mobile Internet forum.
