What Sites Do You Surf With Those Tiny Mobile Phone Screens?

Featured Replies

So the fun question is, how do you use these TINY web browsers? What sites SPECIFICALLY do you find are viable on such tiny screens?

OK, I recently (sort of) took a small step towards modernity and got one of those mobiles that support web browsing ...

Actually I didn't even know it would until I got it home and I like it but the screen is very small of course and I mostly bought it for a phone.

Anyway I just can't picture using this tiny thing as I would a normal desktop or laptop. For example I can't see that I would have the patience to post to thaivisa on it. I was surprised that major sites have a mobile browsing mode and that's cool. However, I am wondering what do you use these tiny browsers for exactly? As in what sites going around town?

So far all I can think of to check the weather at weather.com and news updates on newspaper sites. Plus of course if I'm out and about and need more info on rambutans I can always google.

This intentionally posting in Farang pub rather than the tech forum because it is about CONTENT.

I like diggriver.com its digg.com's non-iphone mobile phone version.

Actually I use them to either resolve petty disagreements 'who won the premiership in 1991?' or find out answers to those questions that really bug me at the time 'the name of the original drummer of the Beatles?' plus to recognize songs playing in a pub/club.

That's the kind of thing I was looking for. I will definitely check out that site. Interestingly today I was reading a great article on the washingtonpost mobile site and I wanted to look at it again on a real computer and it wasn't there.

Yes that falls into the general category of googling stuff when out and about. Since I am a food freak I just thought of a use. Say for example you see some odd foreign dish on a menu and don't know whether its a bird tongue patty or something good, just look it up ...
