Phuket Weather For Next Wednesday, Sept 16th

Featured Replies

I was considering a trip to Phuket next Wednesday, Sept 16th. Flights are cheap and so are the hotels. Is the weather that bad now? I looked at the Twinpalms Resort cam and the weather seems to be pretty good the last few days. The weather forecast on the Thai Meteorological Department site shows about 60% coverage.

September is suppose to be the wettest month, but with a 60% forecast, that means a few hours or rain (if any). In Pattaya, there has been some nice weather and there hasn't been any significant rain yet.

So it is worth going to Phuket next week or wait another month?

No reliable forecasts, so in September that is a gamble.

Windguru and windfinder both show next Wed as being mild  in terms of wind and rain, but who really knows as this is the monsoon time.

I'm predicting 31 degrees C. with isolated showers, some cloud cover with a couple of sunny hours here or there.

What do I win if I'm right ?

Some days it rains all day , some days showers, about 1 day in 4 sunny all day in chalong.

Usually if we have a lot of rain one day, we will get some sun the next. So if you stay more than a few days you are likely to see the sun!

If it's anything like it was 2 years ago on the 16th.Terrible weather. That was the day of the Phuket air crash

You are entering a lottery where your chances are 50/50. As far as temperature goes it is 100 % you win, but I thiunk it more likely to be heavy showers, or even a good chance rain all day.

This year has been a lot wetter than in normal years.

every day is good here; rain at times then dry roads again; I wouldn't miss a day of it.

so - did you visit or not . . . don't leave us hanging

for me - Chalong - wet when I went to work, fine when i left for home so went cycling round Rawai/Nai Harn

it may rain tomorrow also, or not.

I predict... Walking_in_the_raiiiiiiiiiiin_by_PoisonTouch.gif
