Klong Taxi Boats

Featured Replies

I will be travelling from the pier on Phetchburi at Ekkamai to Asoke down Klong San Sap and return everyday.

Anyone know where i can find a timetable in English on line or elsewhere?

Cheers

During rush hour, every 5mins or so.

Not rush hour 10-15mins

The boats run from 5:30am to around 8pm. Don't need a schedule, they come along every few minutes.

Thanks for that. Any idea of cost?

Cheers

The most expensive fare is from Wat Sri Bunruang to Pratunam or vice versa and that is 20 baht.

The cheapest fare is i think 10 baht.

Have never made the journey you are talking about, but cant imagine it being more than 14 baht, its only about 3 stops down the line.

From Ramkhamhaeng Uni to Asoke is B14 and that's way past Ekkamai. So I reckon on B10.

I travel from Ekamai to Asoke almost every day.

The fare is 10 baht. I've had a couple of incidents where they haven't given me change back from 20 baht but they are rare.

The boats come at irregular intervals ranging from 30 seconds to 3 or 4 minutes in the rush hour.

A piece of advice: if you see 3 or 4 boats coming after each other , wait until the last boat as it's often less crowded.

I get on at the next stop and the boats are very crowded in the rush hours, it's sometimes a pain to move across to the correct side of the boat to get off at Asoke, but you will be boarding on the correct side and a lot of people get off at Asoke/Phetchburi, presumably for the MRT, and yes the fare is 10 Baht.
