Where Can I Buy Marmite In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I am down to my last small jar of marmite now, so before I contact my mum to get her to send me an emergency supply from Scotland, is there any place I can buy marmite in Bangkok? I tried Carrefour Onnut and Rama 4, also Tesco Onnut, but no luck.

I'm not interested in the Aussie Vegeshite stuff. I want the real thing. :)

cheers

Try Villa supermarket on Sukhumvit soi 31(I think it's 31 anyway) Or on soi 8(just opposite and across the road from Nana - possibly)

Most Villa supermarkets and also Foodland stores, and even tesco lotus stores such as the one in Pin Khlao sell it :D

Want the real thing??? Baaa! Vegemite is the real thing. Marmite is a copy!

Hi John1956,

Just to point out that Marmite was first marketed in 1902 as the flagship product of the Marmite Extract Company based in Burton Upon Trent in England. Vegimite was first developed by Dr. Cyril Callister in 1922 when the Marmite imports failed following WW1, so sorry, it is Vegimite that is the copy.

However, I am sure that you knew all that and you simply wished to point out your preference for the product.

Cheers.

be aware you can also buy Marmite made in Australia by the Sanitarium Health Food Company.

Although marketed as "real marmite" it tastes nothing like Marmite from the UK ... but still costs a fortune!

Villa supermarket opposite Emporium had it. I bought 3 jars just in case. :) Thanks for the suggestions.
