There is a shop in front of Phuket Villa (I think it is Villa 3) on Chao Fa East Rd that has a lot of stuff.

There is also a little shop on Phuket Rd in downtown Phuket City (opposite Naowamin) that has a good selection. Check the Gazette guide for the exact location.

Wherever you find it, you will pay through the nose for "good, branded" stuff, as most of it is imported.

If you have stairs and need a baby gate it will set you back a few thousand baht, for example.

Anyway, good luck with the Fred Flintstone/Pebbles routine...

You can try Robinson's in Phuket town.

They have a decent selection. (at one time they were the only place on the island that sold car seats for babies)

But recently, they have changed for the worse also.

THey used to have a huge selection of "PlanToys" (wooden toys for babies and young children) but, they have since changed their supplier and in their place now have more plastic crap. I thought maybe PlanToys went out of business but on a recent trip to the states, one of the first things i noticed was a store with a bigger than ever selection of PlanToys.

The infant and kids stuff is on the 3rd floor.

Sounds like you've already been to Central, which probably has a larger supply than anywhere else on the island.

Try Gazette classifieds as you do occasionally see some ads from expats whose kids have outgrown certain safety devices.

Its actually the safety gate that im looking for. I would also consider 2nd hand.
